Making Online Payments (Via GoCardless Direct Debit)

All your payments to our Scout Group will be managed using Online Scout Manager (OSM). OSM has a parent portal where you can see all your past and future payments. To make payments online, you’ll need to set up a Direct Debit subscription which ensures all payments due are automatically made on time.

You will receive an email 3 days before each payment is taken from your bank account and the Direct Debit can be cancelled at any time. You are also covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee.

The Direct Debit payments are handled by a company called GoCardless. Setting up an account with GoCardless is very easy and should take no more than one minute. When your first payment to our group is due you will receive an email with a secure link to invite you to set up an account.

Hardship Policy

We would not like to see any of our young people miss out on Scouting due to finances so please review our Hardship Policy below if you feel you may not be eligible for support towards meeting the cost of Scouting.

Parent rota

All of our sections run active parent rotas to ensure that we have sufficient adults present to run our activities safely.

We also find that our young people love it when their parent/carer gets involved and joins them at the meetings!

You do not need to purchase uniform initially.

Once your child has attended at least 3 sessions with us, we will contact you to advise of when we plan to hold an investiture ceremony where we formally invest your child into our Scout Group. Only from this point will your child be required to wear uniform along with their group necker.
